So I just spent maybe half an hour trying to suss out what I had in fact made this year, and I was surprised at the number of finished projects! A lot of it underwear, which isn't impressive, but still. A much higher item-count than last year, that's for sure.

I worked the last 11 days and decided not to go to the nearby 1860s thing and have a day to myself instead. It's been DIVINE, let me tell you. Not having to haul all the huge costume bits around, futz with my hair, or spend the day in a corset when my tummy hasn't been well-behaved lately? Blissful. I have to:
Sew boning into its channels at CB
Sew hooks on one cuff and bars on both
Sew the waistband on *nicely* (I did a quickie job just for fitting but it's super-visible, so I'd rather redo it if I can)
Make covered buttons for the sleeve bands
Sew on the sleeve bands

I wrote out a sewing schedule for my day mostly-off, but got a late start and then got distracted so I'm way behind. But! I'm getting there, mostly-steadily. I have to go in to work at 3 and stay until 5, 5:30, but then it's back to sewing! *cracks whip*

So, I, uh, sewed some bodice pieces together last night. And they seem super buckly, because they're meanie-faces. :( And today I steamed my skirt (because I tore my skirt panels, but the muslin I used was stuff I got for mockups, and therefore super-cheapo!, and therefore not QUITE straight to grain. Every time I feel as if I HAVE to sew because I'm home and just loafing and have a deadline, I remind myself that I don't *really* need this dress. I *want* to sew, but after working till 9:30ish last night and then going in again at 7 this morning (which means 4 hours of sleep) and staying until 5:30, while breaking in new shoes......bleeeeeeergh.
